The super bowl is among the most popular games on earth, attracting thousands of spectators and millions of viewers worldwide. For all its popularity, the Super Bowl hardly disappoints. It continues to attract unprecedented attention from NFL enthusiasts the world over. In this section, we sample three all-time classic games of the super bowl.

The 2008 David-Goliath Classic

Dubbed as the David-Goliath duel, this final pitting the New York Giants and the New England Patriots is rated among the Super Bowl Classics of the last decade. Played at the Phoenix stadium in Arizona, The Patriots had gone unbeaten for the entire season. The Super Bowl was supposed to be the icing on the cake. However, they had to negotiate a dogged Giants. With few minutes to go, the New York Giants nicked it the game ending in favour of the Giants to cap a remarkable upset.

The 2015 Brady vs Wilson Derby

This classic pitted New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks eyeing a back to back super bowl win against the Tom Brady-led Patriots, made a costly mistake with a misread pass picked by Malcolm Butler. This set up a victory for the Patriots and a fifth Super Bowl win for the legendary Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick.

The 2017 Patriots vs Falcons

The New England Patriots again! This time faced by a determined Atlanta Falcons, the Patriots were under the cosh for most of the first half going down 28-3. For the crowds and viewers at home, this game was clearly beyond the Pats.

However, Belichick, the coach and his gang, had other ideas. They re-energised and came back guns blazing for the second half winning 34-28 after pushing the game to overtime. The Patriots have been at the centre of the classic games over the last decade. For all their efforts, they have racked up significant honours along the way.
